Eric Gardner

Editor

Eric GardnerEric Gardner graduated from Columbia University with a Philosophy degree and in an attempt to avoid getting a real job, he got into the USC School of Cinema/Television where he escaped with an MFA.

He was an actor-grip in Bridget Fonda's first feature, "You Can't Hurry Love," and became hooked on hyphenates.

In an attempt to set the hyphenate record he was producer-writer-2nd Unit Director-editor-stuntman on Tonya Harding's first and only non-pornographic feature, "Breakaway". NPR commentator Sandra Tsing Loh wrote in the Los Angeles Times: "Memo to Hollywood , Tonya Harding can act". Like all independent films, "Breakaway"; was not without tense moments.  Premiere magazine reported that Harding's then boyfriend contemplated killing Gardner during the production.

In Gardner's next film "Under The Influence," he wound up with the title of Director-Producer-Editor.   "Under The Influence" stars Peter Greene (Pulp Fiction, Usual Suspects, The Mask) and won several awards including the Grand Jury Prize at Big Bear Lake International Film Festival (where Gardner got a hug from JoBeth Williams when she gave him the award).

In between fiction gigs, Gardner edits documentaries and reality television shows like "The Real World"& "Survivor". Everything written here is true, you can look it up.

Joseph Vecchione

Editor

Pictured here is Joe, a multi-tasker, who was driving through an intersection, talking to us on the phone, while taking a picture of himself and emailing it to us. This, of course, was before October 2005 when such activities were legal. Joe is the company's "trouble-shooter".

Joe chooses to send his biography in installments...

First Installment:
I was born a poor boy in NYC. but it didn't matter cause my parents paid for everything till I was old enough to make money on my own. Then came video production and meeting Harvey. The rest is history, except for present and future things.

Second Installment:
I've been involved in the Audio & Video business since 1973, Video since 1984, Video Editing since 1984, Cameraman since 1986
I specialize in Motion Control Camera since 1991 starting at CMS Video in Westport, CT
Editing there is where I met Harvey and his entorage. But as you can see I still can't spell.

I worked the graveyard shift. It was at night, it was late and it was dark.

(...to be continued)

Third Installment: (Seriously now....)
I have been in some form of the production business since 1973. Starting with music and audio engineering, then migrating into video in the early 1980’s. With a degree in electronics, I have established a wide variety of skills: video and audio engineering, DP and cameraman, motion controlled camera, editor, production manager, and the list goes on. Over the years I have received many awards on various projects, ranging from Emmies, Cine Golden Eagles, Chris, along with numerous film festivals. Working in both the production and post production involves me in all aspects of video production.

Based in Trumbull, CT, most of my clients are producers form the New York and New England
area. However projects are spread worldwide. I have worked with all the networks, NBC, ABC, CBS, ESPN, A&E, Biography & History Channel, BBC, TNN… Almost every day you can watch a project I have worked on in one way or another. Most of these projects are documentaries or commercials. Along with broadcast my list of corporate includes most of the major players. AT&T, SBC, GE, Coke, Pepsi, Johnson & Johnson, Aetna, Travelers, Sony, Panasonic, Tiffany’s, Deloitte&Touche… Also government, military, and educational projects. Thousands of programs that are on TV, in offices, museums, schools and homes, have been touched by my work.

I enjoy working on a variety of projects from small to big. I like helping as many people as I can, so they can help others. I quietly keep our world moving with all I can offer.

Jay Ignaszewski

Editor

Jay joined Captured Time after wandering off the honor farm at the Shirley Temple Black Home for the Cinematically Bewildered in Palm Springs. Having worked in the Film Industry for over 25 years on the West Coast, Jay came East seeking four seasons and the perfect ear of white corn. He has worked with George Lucas, Steven Speilberg, David Lynch and Mel Brooks, to name a few. His skill set includes editing (Emmy for co-editing the pilot for Twin Peaks), visual effects (producer VFX for Eraser, tests for Matrix and What Dreams May Come), sound (One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest, Black Stallion), camera (commercials) and he makes a mean Bolognese. Jay also teaches production courses at two local universities, sharing his vast reservoir of hearsay and misinformation with the upcoming generation of image-makers. Hoping to steer these impressionable youths to a better life path such as animal husbandry or fly tying. Jay now is seeking a crisp, brilliant sauvignon blanc to go with the corn.
